Doublas M2 is the second Mechanical Beast created in Mazinger ZIP!.
Appearance
Doublas M2 resembles its other counterparts having a humanoid body that is mostly colored light blue with a pair of sauropod necks and heads, and sharp claws.
Abilities and Equipment
Doublas M2 mainly makes use of its two heads for attacks that are able to shoot lasers. The chest armor is tightly attached to the body and is able to resist the force of a Rocket Punch. Dr. Hell makes use of Doublas in other ways such as hanging laundry on the necks and using it to transport heavy objects. One time he also repainted the robot with a summer theme to catch beetles.
History
Doublas M2 was used in an operation to attack Mt. Fuji but was held back when Baron Ashura was bickering with his/her sides on whether or not to use the Iron Masks. During this skirmish, Mazinger ZIP! defeated Doublas with a Breast Fire. It was used again throughout the series by Dr. Hell and was put in action in an errand on Maebashi, but was caught in traffic on Route 17 and accidentally destroyed a building. Mazinger ZIP! confronted it at Shikishima Park where they simply had some of Maebashi's famous chicken rice bentos. Subsequent appearances had the Doublas stuck in traffic including being stuck in the Kamogawa Bypass during a raid operation due to most patrons going to Kamogawa Sea World. In other appearances, Doublas would end up destroying suburbs, transports, and even the Itsukushima Shrine where the Underground Empire had to pay great fines.
