Gidonius was a Reptilian Warrior Beast. It was one of the monster of the week in Great Mazinger Episode 19, Snow, Take the Color of the Blood of Youth!! alongside Goldova.
Appearance[]
Gidonius had a large ant like body with a large brown abdomen, lined with missile silos. A grey head and body, four legs, a slightly fish like head, large bull horns, a sharp beak like face above his head and a yellow and black striped line down his back. His true red face is located on his forehead, but it is very difficult to view it due to the pointy head-like construct covering it most of the time.
Powers and Abilities[]
Gidonius could fire many missiles from his abdomen, and a larger scale destructive one. He could shoot fire from his mouth and swim in deep water. He could also fold into his abdomen like a turtle to turn into an armored ball.
History[]
Gidonius was sent by General Draydou to rampage through a city, later he encountered Venus A he was't taken out by Jun due to a severe depression, then Gidonius kept rampaging until Great Mazinger and Boss Borot show up but he still manages to take them both out easily without Venus A's help. However, once Jun regained her fighting spirit, she attempts to stop Gidonius but Venus A ends up being damaged. Angered, Tetsuya attacks Gidonius. Gidonius attacks him with his fire but Great Mazinger resists it and ends up cutting off Gidonius's head, then cuts his body down, causing him to blow up. Angered, Draydou and Angoras order a retreat.

Trivia[]
- Due to Gidonius's headpiece covering his true face, you'd most likely assume he had the integrated brain in the head. His true face is only really visible in 2 shots: when he's rampaging, and when he attacks Venus A with his flamethrower.
