Gorgon is a homeless man living on streets with psychokinetic powers. He is based on Archduke Gorgon from the original series Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger, but the tiger is a companion rather than a part of his body.

From what Gorgon has said about his past, he was ostracized for his powers and his only companion had been a tiger (which was actually a robot created and used by Dr. Hell to observe Gorgon). Eventually, Dr. Hell would secretly support Gorgon by giving him Mechanical Beasts.

Gorgon visually appears similar to his original counterpart but since he is human rather than a Mycenae cyborg he has regular flesh colored skin and instead of greek armor he wears a tank top and jeans.

Gorgon holds a strong hate for the world after being ostracized by so many people. Because of this, he now only wants to destroy anything he feels like, paying little attention to his own health.

Gorgon possesses psychokinetic abilities that allows him to control giant robots. However, on more powerful machines such as Minerva X, the pressure can be too powerful for him that the immense brain activity actually killed him.

Gorgon sent the Toros D7 to attack Tokyo until the arrival of the Angels. When the Minerva X suddenly appeared the tiger guided Gorgon to take control of it to fight against the Angels. During the fight Maria Fleed appeared and took over control of Minerva with Gorgon having little control than he previously did. However, the pressure from controlling Minerva X was too great for him and his brain gave out. Dr. Hell merely observed the events that unfolded from within the robotic tiger.
